Brazil plays its 100th World Cup finals game on 23 June

Brazil BadgeBrazil is hoping to be 100 not out after it plays its 100th World Cup finals’ game in Brasilia on Monday, 23 June against Cameroon. A match which decides if Brazil will move on into the last sixteen of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Brazil, the only side to play in all twenty World Cup finals, winning five of them in the process, has in its previous 99 World Cup games won 68, drawn 16 and suffered 15 defeats. In the process the team has scored 213 goals and let in 89.

The only team to play more World Cup finals games than Brazil is Germany, who so far has played 101. The other countries making up the top five are Italy with 82 games, Argentina with 72 and England with 61.
